A significant milestone in the resilient flooring industry as it is the very first Red Dot Design Award given for polypropylene based resilient flooring products. Part of the mega trend in the building material industry is to gradually phase out PVC material applications with alternative toxic free polymers.

Introduction to Polypropylene LVT

MJ’s polypropylene LVT, theĀ PP-2021OE flooring collection is made from non-vinyl composition. As it is free of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and thus complies with the mega trend for the eventual ban on PVC applications in European region. Polypropylene polymer is a food-safe material that does not emit any harmful vapours and is safe for infants and pets indoors. Recognition for this innovative composition application, Red Dot Award for Polypropylene LVT was given.
Formulated with UV protective coating, this PP-LVT flooring withstands sunlight for extend period of time without fading. The PP based wear layer also offers excellent protection against scratches. Polypropylene is a high performance polymer that can be fully mechanical recycled. It is also a Red-List Free composition that contribute to better green building materials.
