Conventional LVT flooring has the risk of cupping when it is not given any acclimation time before it is installed. This is mostly due to the temperature and moisture level differences that cause the LVT plank to expand and contract, thus resulting in cupping when space between planks are being squashed.
Another factor that brands and suppliers don’t tell you is that ordinary LVT flooring are only made with minimal Floorscore standards, this means it is the most cost effective and lowest composition grade that give a minimal quality of performance. When the LVT flooring are formulated with more stabilized composition, it can in fact reach zero curling performance and has distinctively less dimensional expansion and contraction rate.
True quality LVT can be made to be acclimation free, so that even when it is going through changing environments, for example from warehouse to residential homes, it can be immediately installed without waiting.
