Taiwan has been a leading hub for pioneer suppliers in resilient flooring. It is well recognized that some of the best manufacturers in luxury vinyl flooring are from Taiwan, and M.J. International Group (MJ) is exactly one of them. In terms of product innovation and manufacturing management, MJ is second to none. As an Asia based manufacturer, MJ International Group has the longest history for manufacturing luxury vinyl flooring. The initiatives for innovation and better management has positioned MJ as a pioneer and world leading supplier in the industry. The innovation for environmental SPC flooring by MJ, formulated with rice husks, is an advanced innovation that strongly contribute to better environmental sustainability.
iF Design Award 2022 for RSPC by MJ International Group

The new innovation by MJ International Group with the risk husk rigid core has created an entirely new path for environmental SPC flooring. With added risk husk composition, it effectively reduce the amount of PVC polymer that is used in making luxury vinyl floorings. As part of the RSPC, the risk husk rigid core comes with improved elasticity which improve the click n lock system.
The rigid core RSPC therefore has gained the iF Design Award in 2022 for its strong potential to make positive environmental impact for the resilient flooring industry. With the purpose to use bio-based composition while reducing use of polymer, this RSPC is indeed one of the most innovative flooring product for 2022.
More Environmental SPC Flooring Innovation – The Polypropylene

In additional to the Rice Husk RSPC, MJ International also with more environmental friendly polymer: Polypropylene. The PP-LVT is a PVC Free resilient flooring that can meet the Red-List Free requirement and has the true easy to recycle property. The resilient flooring industry has had obvious challenges with conventional PVC based flooring as they require a chemical recycling process, furthering its pollution with chloride and dioxin. The required energy and carbon emission to recycle PVC from LVT and SPC also makes it impractical for the industry. Only very few brands such as Gerflor and Polyflor has implemented a recycling scheme for their end of life flooring products. For smaller flooring brands and flooring distributors, there is no take back program nor recycling program implement, contributing to the issue of vinyl flooring product wastes.
