Will They Replace A $100 Khols Gift Card If It Was Thrown In The Fire?

I got a $100 gift card from Kohls for Christmas and my mother accedentally threw it into the fire. My brother and sister also got them however they still have theirs and my question is, can we void all three? My mom thinks we can but I’m not so sure. Real answers please, not just answers for points.

If you still have a receipt they might be able to void the old one and issue a new one, otherwise you’re out of luck.

Probably not unless you have a recite

Doubt it but you won’t know for sure unless you try.

i’m almost sure you can’t
since your siblings have their cards, read on the back of one of them and i’m sure it says that they are non-replaceable
if all else fail, then call their toll free number and ask customer service:

Gift cards are treated like cash so they will not replace it. Sorry.

worth a shot – esp if mom has a receipt

If the gift card was purchased with a credit card or debit card, call the credit card issuer and explain the situation, they may be able to help because they typically have a little more pull if they call Kohls for you.

If she saved her receipt you might be able to get a replacement card. Some places can trace gift cards based on the receipt. If she doesn’t have a receipt maybe she put it on her charge card and they could trace it that way. Call Kohls and ask.

do you have some sort of proof that you bought a third gift card. . .

. . . who ever purchased the card(s) was given a “receipt” for the transaction. . . the “receipt” is your guarantee to quality service. . . . (it’s not just a silly piece of paper to trash after you get home). . .

The receipt might contain the gift card number in which case they can search and inactivate the card and issue you new ones.
