I’d be curious what you think of Rourke’s performance of a drag queen convict in “Animal Factory”. Of course, his character is not meant to be subtle, but he makes one hell of an impact in just a couple of minutes and steals the movie. Yeah, I thought most of the character’s in “MIlk” came off like straight actors pretending they’re gay (Penn included) – for me this curdled the “Milk”. Nothing against Sean, who I very much respect for his ability and guts – but Rourke just took it to another whole level of credibility. I think Mickey set a new standard with this performance and it makes it tougher for other actors to get away with b. s. I’d like to see Rourke and Penn act together.

DUMBASS, I am gay myself, and Sean Penn played Harvey Milk HORRIBLY. Milk was nowhere near as effeminte as Penn played him or that stupid, Milk was great. Sean Penn stanks.

I know they use real wrestlers in the movie so Im pretty sure it is. . . I love this movie too but I think its a good thing it feels short cuz that means they didn’t drag anything out:)
