If Obama Wins The Nomination, Has Bill Clinton Crossed The Line To The Point Where He Couldn’t Support Him?

After the lies and fabrications Bill Clinton has made, how would it look if he later tried to speak favorably of Obama if Obama were the Dem nominee against the GOP candidate?
Could not the GOP use video footage of Bill Clinton against Obama in a general election?

The Clinton’s would be very bitter but I think they would say, ” it is just politics and what we meant to say was. . . . ” They do not want another Republican at all cost. Then if Obama was to win the nomination and lose the Presidency they would say, that Hillary would have won by a landslide. . . and blame Obama for splitting the party. . . . .

I don’t think that it’ll have much impact on what Clinton does. When you’re unprincipled like Clinton, you have no moral compass to guide you one way or the other.

The Clinton machine is not on the up and up and they will not surrender.

No—the Clintons will do what is necessary for THEIR POLITICAL SURVIVAL. If that means hugging OBAMA on National TV and telling the WORLD he is the best man for the JOB. You can bet they will do it. Although I would watch for them to attack OBAMA the next chance they get to have a go at the Presidency again.
The Clintons can not be trusted—If OBAMA ever does trust them–He’ll get what he deserves. But he is probably smart enough to know that by now.

Nah. . politicians are generally like boxers. They go 15 rounds beating the hell out of each then have a big hug when its over.
Ideology will still rule the day, and if Obama wins Clinton will embrace him because there virtually identical ideologically

Both Clintons have been hammering Obama.
Barack should say, If I can defeat both Clintons to get the nomination, I certainly can defeat one Republican in November. http://trimagna3. blogspot. com/

What lies? What fabrications? Could you explain exactly what those are, because I’ve yet to hear lies from the Clintons about Obama. Opinions and the truth about his voting the same as Hillary on the war. But fabrications?
He would still support him as the Democratic nominee. Candidates say all sorts of nasty things about each other but still manage to support the nominee, this would be no different.

If he had any sense, he would bite his tongue and just disappear for a while. Just shut the hell up and let Hillary play diplomat for a change.

I agree with you. It would seem that Bill has distanced himself too much from Obama that it would be hard for him to endorse Obama if he won the primary. Stranger things have happened though so I wouldn’t rule it out.

Interesting. The better question is if Hillary wins will she get the monolithic afro american vote or will they remember Bills trashing of Obama and stay home?

Obama doesn’t seem like the type to be “bought off”. The is type of people that the Clinton’s support are usually corrupt and can be bought off. I’m not sure that they could support a decent candidate.
The GOP won’t use anything that Clinton says, because it’s worthless drivel. The GOP wants to distance themselves as much as possible from Clinton.

No this is a race and they all know the mud slinging that is going to go with this and after it is all over and the winner is announced they are all real good friends again. Weird huh

Bill Clinton hasn’t lied nor has he crossed the line.
November 27th, 2009 at 5:56 pm
it hasn’t stopped any from doing that in the past

This is more proof that the Clintons only care about their own power and not the welfare of their party or the nation.

I think there is a disconnect between what Bill Clinton has said and what the media, Obama, and black community claims to have heard. I think you should take a look at actual transcripts of Bill Clinton’s statements, rather than second hand reports that are floating around. Since when is speaking the truth and addressing issues of voting records considered trashing someone? As far as supporting Obama in a general election, Obama has gotten it easy so far. In a general election no one should be surprised when the Republicans bring up Obama’s drug use, 100+ “present” votes, membership in a racist church, connections to his close friend Chaib who has been indicted on federal charges of fraud in a $3. 4 million scheme, and his church’s connection with the Black Muslim leader Louis Farrakhan. So far Obama has gotten a pass on these issues by democrats walking on eggs shells over race. But in a general election Obama will have to answer these questions and he will lose by a landslide once these issues are addressed openly.

” Could not the GOP use video footage of Bill Clinton against Obama in a general election?” LOL. . . You better believe it !!
And they will .
Although that would fare well for my party, the republicans, I’m still wary of a Hillary / Obama ticket .

The GOP certainly could but might not because they don’t want to be linked to the Clintons either.

Good question Bro.
I can see Bubba making a proposition to Obama, even if Obama were to get the nod, along the lines of:
Let Hillary be the President and you can be the VP.
Some people have no shame, nor morals.
