   There is nothing wrong with the old bow, made from the yew tree and well oiled. It is still used in competition. Archery has moved on and advanced. The compound bow is an evolution of bows from many hundreds of years. You can’t expect anything to stand still, including archery.

   I have been an archer for over 20 years and have seen technology make leaps and bounds over the years. This match was impressive and I am in awe at how well the female archer from Denmark was shooting when her left arm was twitching at full draw. Even with the shakes, she was hitting the 10 ring. Very, very impressive.

   so high tech. Whats wrong with the old bow, made slender with the wood of the yew tree, and well oiled by goose fat in the days of yore?

   I didn’t realize bows became this advanced. It’s a far cry from the longbows of yore.
